Guy Herman ZANGUIM TCHOUTEZOU

University of Dschang

I am 28 years old and a Cameroonian national. I hold an engineering degree in forest management and a Master's degree in integrated forest resource management from the Faculty of Agronomy and Agricultural Sciences (FASA) at the University of Dschang (Cameroon). I am currently finalising my PhD thesis at the same University, on the theme of "Ecological restoration of degraded landscapes in Cameroon: the case of the Monts Bamboutos landscape".

Alongside my thesis research, I am also a consultant in ecological restoration. The current project on which I am working as the principal expert on ecological restoration in Cameroon is the project to restore former mining sites and areas denuded by mining activity in Cameroon. This is a new initiative supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as part of the "GREEN MINING CAMEROON PROGRAMME".

I am also a Research Assistant in 03 European Union research projects at the University of Dschang: TC4BE project "Transformative Change in Telecoupled Agrofood Systems for Biodiversity and Equity"; CLEVER project "Creating Leverage to Enhance biodiversity outcomes of global biomass trade" and RESSAC project "Applied Ecological and Social Science Research in Support of the Sustainable Management of Central African Ecosystems".
