Okechukwu Iroegbu

Okechukwu Iroegbu is an advanced Folklore graduate student at the University of California, Berkeley. 

 

Before starting his graduate education, he worked as an Executive Assistant at Domestic Workers Unite Inc., a non-profit organization interested in fighting for the rights of domestic workers around the globe.

 

He is a Mastercard Foundation Scholar at his current university, and his research interests focus on African studies, indigenous knowledge, folk narratives such as proverbs and folktales, storytelling, and wildlife conservation. At his leisure, he writes poems, short stories, and reflections on his blog: oiroegbu.com.
