Dr Michael Sievers is a marine ecologist with the Global Wetlands Project (GLOW) at Griffith University, Gold Coast, Australia. Michael was recently awarded an ARC Discovery Early Career Researcher Award (DECRA) that aims to improve the outcomes of coastal ecosystem restoration efforts by shifting focus towards the animal component, both in terms of enhanced monitoring capabilities and how we can harness and manipulate positive species interactions.
