Renee Piccolo

Renee Piccolo is an environmental advocate who discovered her deep-rooted passion for the natural world while growing up on a farm in North Queensland, Australia. With previous experience in environmental consultancy and wildlife handling and education, she embarked on her academic journey, earning a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Ecology and Conservation Biology. Currently in the final stages of her Ph.D. at Griffith University and CSIRO Environment, Renee's research centers on spatial modeling for restoration decision support, emphasizing restoration feasibility. Her unique blend of practical experience and academic prowess, combined with her commitment to integrating social perspectives into environmental planning, positions her as a dynamic force in the field of conservation and restoration.
