Brett has an extensive background in nature conservation with broad experience and knowledge in current biosecurity and conservation programmes. Brett is an experienced strategist with a proven track record of successful conservation programmes and outcomes. Previous to this current role, Brett designed and established the Pest Free Auckland programme and directed the successful multi-species eradication on Rangitoto and Motutapu islands in Auckland’s Hauraki Gulf. 

Brett is a trustee of the Motutapu Restoration and Whakatipu Wildlife trusts.
