Samantha Andres

Samantha Andres is an applied ecologist specialising in ecosystem conservation. Much of her work investigates the dynamics and drivers of change across ecological communities, in order to create more effective conservation and management strategies. She also uses research to improve the restoration of biodiverse ecosystems.

Sam holds a PhD from Western Sydney University, and has up to 7 years of professional experience as a field ecologist in a variety of environments (coastal, montane, desert, temperate throughout the USA, Australia). 

Additionally, she highly values community led conservation strategies as well as science communication and education. Sam strives to connect people to the natural world, in order to develop a deeper appreciation for and connection to nature.
