Megan Connell

The Nature Conservancy

Megan Connell is part of the Seascapes team at The Nature Conservancy Australia, working on coastal resilience and restoration projects, including for the last two years on the Noosa Oyster Reef Restoration project on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Specialising in marine and coastal management and restoration for over 20 years, she has worked on both coral and oyster reefs as well as estuaries and catchment projects in government departments, schools, outdoor education and now in the NGO sector. 

Megan is a qualified science teacher, engagement practitioner, practical scientist and project manager and is passionate about engaging communities in citizen science, environmental stewardship and hands-on projects that improve the sustainability of catchments, coasts and marine ecosystems.
