Natasha Banning

Stantec

Dr Natasha Banning has 20 years of experience in environmental scientific research and environmental consulting, with a particular focus on land rehabilitation in the  Australian mining and oil and gas sectors. Natasha joined Stantec in 2016. As a team leader she oversees multiple annual and compliance rehabilitation monitoring programs for a broad range of mining and oil and gas clients. She can also provide recommendations regarding rehabilitation planning , monitoring methodologies, analyses of rehabilitation progress and success and development of completion criteria for mine closure planning. Natasha also has a role in innovation and has lead development of remote sensing projects that involve vegetation and erosion assessments for the purpose of monitoring rehabilitation progress as well as environmental impacts or historical disturbance. She is also involved in the technical development of environmental DNA for species detection.
