Cecília Woortmann

Cecília Woortmann is a Forest Engineer with a master's degree in Tropical Silviculture and a post-graduate degree in Environmental Public Policy. She has developed her expertise in forest management working in Brazil and New Zealand. As a civil servant in the Brazilian government for the past decade, Cecília has contributed to various initiatives, including forest management concessions in public areas and the resettlement of economically vulnerable populations. Over the past four years, Cecília has brought her expertise to FUNAI - the National Foundation for Indigenous Peoples, where she has focused on contributing for national policies for indigenous environmental and territorial management, with a particular emphasis on ecological restoration.
