Yolanda van Heezik

I am a professor in the Zoology Department at the University of Otago in New Zealand, where I direct the Post-Graduate Wildlife Management Programme, and teach conservation biology and harvest management.  My research interests include urban ecology, biodiversity of private gardens and urban green spaces, and peoples' interactions with nature. I am also involved in research on mammalian invasive species, and marine bird ecology with a focus on penguins.
