Chicago Botanic Garden

Louise Egerton-Warburton is soil ecologist with over a two decades of experience working on plant-soil relationships in restoration projects. Currently, she is a Senior Scientist at the Chicago Botanic Garden and leads the Soil and Mycorrhizal Ecology group. She is passionate about mycorrhizal fungi, returning soil health to degraded landscapes, and analytical chemistry. When she’s not thinking about soils or fungi or sleuthing the latest lab technique, Louise enjoys travel, teaching group exercise at the gym, gardening, air guitar, and volunteering at a cat rescue group.
