bushtekniq
As an educator and facilitator of learning experiences in holistic bush regeneration, Tali Shelley inspires conscious connected earthcare within communities and across networks. With a lifetime of biocultural learnings and conservation, Tali brings awareness and agency to the field of ecological restoration and community engagement. As a bush regenerator ‘living, learning and loving local', Tali has engaged in restoration projects along her local backyard creek system for two decades - upstream in the role of environmental educator at the local school and eco-mentoring in disability support services, and downstream as a neighbourly creek care volunteer. These experiences have culminated in the founding of bushtekniq - a company increasingly well-known for its innovative, holistic assisted bush regeneration services and inclusive community learning experiences. Bushtekniq's 100% herbicide-free projects include Ramsar wetland restoration, threatened species habitat conservation, and ‘Land for Wildlife’, 'Eco-Corridor' and 'Habitat Brisbane' program facilitation. Over the eight years since inception bushtekniq has facilitated hundreds of bushcare events, empowering thousands of participants in workshops, cultural events, youth programs and spaces for environmental arts across the community.
