With over 35 years of experience in the field of environmental sustainability, I have had the privilege of working with various indigenous groups, protected areas, biosphere reserves, appropriate technologies, and energy management. As a manager, advisor, and researcher for several international organizations operating in the Pacific, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean, I have gained extensive exposure to the teaching of natural resource economics.

My passion lies in advocating for efficient and profitable management of energy, environment, and natural resources for sustainable development and inclusive green/blue growth in developing countries. My key areas of expertise include climate change mitigation and adaptation, financial preparedness, technology transfer, enabling activities, policies, and strategies. I am also experienced in sustainable development, inclusive growth, human development, biodiversity protection, ecosystem management, water resource management, sustainable land management, waste management, forests, energy access, energy efficiency, renewable energy, sustainable transportation, and extractive industries.

I am particularly interested in green development strategies and technologies that are low-emission and climate-resilient. I believe that these have the potential to catalyze transformative impacts in the Pacific, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa.

My specialties include organizational aspects of a plant breeding program for biodiversity and food diversification in SIDS and SAHEL regions. I am also an innovator in agro-food systems and an expert in early warning and DRR. My experience in biodiversity conservation and ecosystem protection has allowed me to develop strategies for low-emission climate-resilient development for adaptation and mitigation purposes. Additionally, my expertise in indigenous communities, GIHAS, GEF, GCF, AF, EU, MaB, and AMERP/PMAS programs makes me a valuable asset to any organization looking to make a positive impact on the environment.
