Fabian Carriconde

Fabian CARRICONDE initiated his academic journey at the University of New Caledonia, continuing his studies at the University of Toulouse in France, where he defended his PhD thesis on "Biodiversity, Ecology, and Evolution." Following this, he held a postdoctoral position at Western University of Sydney. For more than 10 years now, he has a permanent researcher position in Microbial and Molecular Ecology at the "Institut Agronomique néo-Calédonien" (IAC) in New Caledonia. He has developed several research projects on soil microorganisms in the context of conservation, ecological restoration, and agroecology, notably using eDNA and next generation sequencing approaches.
