Shen Yifeng has made outstanding achievements in the fields of ecological environment restoration  of "mountains, rivers, forests, fields, lakes, grass and sand" and "carbon neutral" environmental geology research. The "Comprehensive Mining Ecological Environment Management Technology Based on 'Similoam Substrate" participated in the research and development was selected into the "Green Technology Promotion Catalog (2020)" organized by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Natural Resources. It is the only mining ecological management technology among the 116 green technologies in the catalog; it was selected into the "Catalogue of Advanced Applicable Technologies for Conservation and Comprehensive Utilization of Mineral Resources (2022 Edition)" of the Ministry of Natural Resources; the technology was also written into the China Geological Disaster Prevention and Control Engineering Industry Association Standard (T/CAGHP 050-2018) and Hunan Provincial Local Standard (DB43/T 2057-2021).
